Authoring SVCD Movie

You have, by now,  understood the difference between SVCD and VCD. Now it is time you gave a try to author a SVCD and see the difference for yourself.

One way to create a SVCD is very simple and that is by using Nero Smart. You just specify that you want to create SVCD and all you have to do then is to add the movie you want to convert to SVCD and sit back. The ever great and simple Nero Smart will first read your file, convert it (may take serveral hours) and then ask you if you want to burn it. Voila you got your SVCD!

But have you ever tried VCDEasy? It is simpler than Nero, most think. You can download the trial version of VCDEasy here. It is ONLY 8.43 MB.

The guide below will walk you through creating a SVCD and then burning it on a CD, so why not grab a CD-R/RW and insert it in your CD-Rom to begin with.

Let's Do It!

After downloading VCDEasy and installing it, click on its icon to start the program.

First we need to make some settings for burning.
Select Settings and select CDRDAO Integration. Now go ahead and restart the program.

After you have restarted the program follow
1. Select SVCD.
2. Select your CD Writer
4. Select your temporary folder.
5. Add SVCD mpg video.
6. And Hit Go.

Well dude, you are as good as done. Do give the program some time before you get impatient as it is common to take a while. After that..man you got your SVCD. Don't forget to check the difference OK?
